What's Up In November 2019

Hi All, it's December 2019. Another year will leave us very soon. So here are the things that had happened in November 2019.

1. My PhD. As mentioned earlier, I had completed my thesis, finished my Viva and done my correction. Somewhere in November, I had gone through my thesis formatting checking and it's very minor correction.

2. As I wrote this entry, my PhD should already been endorsed by my University's senate.

3. Rainy season for the whole month. I remember the song November Rain.

4. Finally I will changed my 2014 Modenas cub to a scooter. Will be booking my Yamaha Solariz as soon as possible.

5. Saw Frozen 2 at Auro MBO. Some sad elements in it's story.

6. The kids enjoyed the playground at the top of Aeon Shah Alam. The rate is RM 20 per 2 hours for one kid. It's school holiday so need a lot activities for them. Looking for some physical activities so that they can burn more calories and lead to healthy lifestyle.

7. More badminton session.

8. Three field football matches done. The first was a 9 side tournament. The second and third was a 11 a side friendly. I admit that I suffer terribly in the first 9 a side. Low stamina and tactically confused. I am really bad at 9 a side. But on the 11 a side, I found my self getting fitter.

9. After almost 9 years, I am back watching football at Bukit Jalil Stadium. Went there with a friend. Ticket bought online with seating number. The atmosphere was wonderful with chants. Less abusive words heard among spectators. This is the mobile internet generation. They are interested in recording things using their mobile phone.

That's it.

What's Up in September and October 2019

Wazup guys. Just an update on what's going on in September and October.

1. Gruesome murder. Just can't stop mentioning about this gruesome murder that had happened some 200 km from where I live. One husband, they said he was a loving and caring husband, murdered his wife and stepson after one heated argument. Then he cut their corpses to pieces, dumped both of the head at their rented house attic. Some of the remains were thrown into the dustbin outside. Some were thrown few kilometres from the house. The husband got caught in our neighbouring country where he belongs. Now he is in police custody.

2. Completed my PhD correction. Now it's time to send in for formatting before the hardbound cover process. Involves quite a large sum of money.

3. Rain season is on again. Very extreme, heavy and hours of rain. Now my rooftop had leaked again. Need to wait till the rain season is over so that the repairman can do his job.

4. My motorbike is getting dirty due to the wet and muddy road condition.

5. Bought some items from Uniqlo. I must admit that their fabric is superb even though I do not like their design. Up till now, I had bought two casual shirt, one cotton pants, two hoodies for both of my kids. I'm thinking of getting 1 parka for me myself.

6. Mom feels pain on her leg. She was brought to a specialist hospital nearby and was told that it was due to her muscle weakening. Doctors gave her painkillers and vitamins. Get well soon Mom, I know she loves walking. I think she needs a proper pair of slippers to protect her feet.

7. Rumours were wild regarding the future of my workplace. May merge into other faculties.

8. IR 4.0 or the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is one hot topic out there. I need to think of the impact on our graduates thus need to rethink back our syllabus and subject offered.

9. My industrial training students had taken their time off to visit me for supervision. One is doing her training at a private hospital in Trengganu, one at a private hospital at JB and one at a government hospital at Taiping.

10. Played badminton extensively now for 3 days in a row. Back to field football and my first game was with a bunch of 20's youth against also a team of young men. I felt like an old Daddy playing football with his young son. Could not touch the ball for long without being challenged.

What's Up In August 2019

Oops I skipped July, mainly because nothing's much to write on.

1. July - I think my biggest story was replacing my bike's standard exhaust to UMA Racing Back Pressure exhaust. It says a gain in HP, but I do not think so. But I do feel a bit light and my motorbike response have been much more different than using my standard exhaust. The sound of this new UMA Racing exhaust is more bassy than the standard one. It's like having a Sony Speaker.

2. August - finally changed my standard stock bike tyre to a much more better grip tyre. It's the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Sport. Quite a heavy price than Corsa R26. I've seen much cheaper promotions elsewhere. I changed it a my service center during my EO change. You know how much SC mark up prices were.

3. August - Vacation. Bought the Legoland Annual Pass. The kids love it. They went in 2 days for a row. Lotsa thing to do inside. We ride the rollercoasters time and time again.

4. Visited Forest City. Gorgeous view to begin with even though the whole area is not fully developed yet. The beach was awesome. And all of it was man-made. Expensive properties, could not afford one.

5. Viva is just around the corner, busy preparing for the session. They told me I look cool enough for the Viva but deep inside me, trembling.

3. I'm back to riding my super moped.

4. Viva is super close

5. Final exam is around the corner. And I will be the busy one, in charge of ensuring the smoothness of exam.

Whats Up In May 2019

Hi All, what's up?

Just to say that I am doing fine, healthy and wonderful.  So, what are the things that had been creeping up in my life for the first 15 days of May 2019.

1. It's the month of Ramadan. So here we are, fasting. I like fasting. We have the chance to rest our stomach after working hard for 11 months.

2. My super moped had arrived. The first day of Ramadan had seen me having a new moped. It's a 150cc underbone motorbike. Top speed not too fast, 140-145kmh but do have the torque I need to easily by pass vehicles in this urban area where I live.

3. Tragedy, a nurse was found murdered and suddenly a lot of stories were unearthed. Stories that are not too pleasant to hear.

4. Viva PhD. Oh My.. its getting nearer, sooner or later I will be defending my thesis.

5. Sunny days for almost 15 days or more and suddenly today it rains. The best thing is, a new leak had been discovered at my roof. Money will sure fly again.

Chemical Tragedy

Right now as I am writing this entry, one of the town at the south of Peninsular Malaysia which is Pasir Gudang is experiencing a chemical disaster. Thousands were treated with chemical exposure. How on earth does the culprits easily dumped untreated chemical waste. Lack of enforcement can be seen here.

I am sad to see people there falling sick due to those chemical waste. Really sad to see school children being brought to the medical center. I myself have children who are attending school. I know how those parents feels like. Sad, worried, angry.

Welcome 2019

First entry for the new year 2019. Things that had happened in 2018 so far.

This is are some things that had happened to me in December 2018.

1. Preparation for the kids back to school had costs me more than 1k until today, with new cloths, transportation fees, school fees, stationaries and all sorts of things needed.

2. Back to field football. First training and two days after played my first friendly after 15 years. Bought Adidas Predator for RM 160 at Al Ikhsan.

3. During matchday, bought Puma Shin Pad from Al Ikhsan for RM 39.

4. Confirmed for Umrah in February 2019.

5. Agreed to submit my PhD thesis anytime in early January 2019. They finally agreed on the choice of examiners submitted by my Supervisor.

So a full summary of what happened in 2018 from my eyes.

1. The biggest was perhaps something called biggest loser. It's me, I managed to lose almost 30kg of weight through controlled calorie intake. No need for any supplement of any magic juice. I realized that food intake must be limited to a certain portion. And I managed to exercised things that I loved too such as more intense cycling, jog. and now play football.

2. Beautiful clothes were bought as size are now much more easier.

3. Witnessed Malaysian history as our country changed government for the first time.

4. Finally had the courage and will to finished my Thesis. Will submit anytime now.

5. Bought a Samsung Flagship phone by pre-order.

6. Managed to let off my apartment to a buyer.

7. Book Umrah for the whole family

8. Travel overseas, finally with the family. My aim is to give experience to both my kids through travelling.

9. My MIL passed away due to cancer. She did not do any treatment.

10. Got myself a new 125cc moped.

11. Bought an Ibanez acoustic.

12. My hair got thinner.

13. Now my short sighted becomes much more worst (I think so)

14. Adding some more collection of spectacles and lenses.

It's 10.30 pm and I am tired. I could not think more. I am sure there are other things that had happened in 2018.

Whatever it is, enjoy life. Always happy. Hoping for a better tomorrow.
